What if the thing that everyone else thinks is weird about you
That thing you try and hide from others because you don't want them to feel bad or feel lesser than
What if
What if
What if it's actually
Exactly what the world needs MORE of from you?
I'm curious
What’s something people try to bring you down for?
What’s something about you that triggers others?
What is it about you that pulls up the backhanded compliments from people close to you?
What’s that thing about you that people think is weird but you know deep within is something special about you?
Look — you don’t deserve that type of treatment ever.
It can really hurt and sting (dare I say … it can be traumatic) when people don’t accept the brightest, shiniest, most beautiful parts of you
There’s often not anything that can feel more lonely or isolating especially when the haters are the people who supposedly are the closest people to you.
I want you to know — I see you. I get you.
I am celebrating your quirks and weirdness and gifts and exceptional traits.
We live in a world that tells you to quiet down, don’t make a scene, stop bragging, stop being “too much” because other people might feel bad around you
I say — BE TOO MUCH.
The world thinks it can’t handle your “too much”
The world scrolls past your post — reads or watches the whole thing, and won’t “like” it because they don’t want to give you the satisfaction.
But a light goes out in the world every time you and I hide so that other people won’t feel uncomfortable around us.
Go forth — shine. Do your thing. I will clap for you when nobody else does. I will like your posts even when I’m the only one. You deserve it. The world needs more of your good juju.
Now let’s see it.
