You gotta step into the Daylight, and let it go

Ok…big breath.
It’s finally time to fill you in on what I’ve been hiding up my sleeve for 2 (maybe 3?) years now.
This message comes with the big reveal of what that is — AND it also comes with an invitation for you to join me at a very special Spring Equinox kickoff party and ceremony in a few weeks.
Because nothing would be more fun than to Sprout into my next era than with you by my side!
But first, grab a cuppa and join me as I reveal the truths of how this beautiful event — and the next Era of my work — came to be.
It seems and feels perfectly fitting that I am sending you this email on what looks to be the sunniest and most perfect day of 2025 so far.
ICYMI, last week I sent out an email letting you know that I’m celebrating the 9th birthday of my business — an extension of my Soul that has seemingly lived as many lives as years around the sun.
There’s something truly Divine about the number 9 — whether it’s in numerology or the world’s great religions and spiritual disciplines. It signifies letting go of the old and stepping into the new.
Which is why I am so thrilled to finally (!!!!!!) be stepping into the daylight — and allowing that warm, early spring glow to illuminate exactly what it is I’ve been up to and building and germinating for nearly 2 years.
If you’ve been following along for awhile -or- if you’re new around here, you might know that while the facade and physical form of my work has evolved time and time again over the years —
The mission has always remained the same:
Guiding highly ambitious, luminaire women to match the way you live your life on the outside with the Story your Soul is telling on the inside.
When our Souls were embodied (long before we were born) — they carried a Story we were divinely gifted to tell.
That Story dictated what you are / who you are (your identity), what you are destined to do (your purpose), and to whom you belong (your relationships / tribe).
But along the way, due to conditioning, beliefs, traumas, expectations, sickness, heartbreaks, loss, or the externalized pressure to belong and fit in — we all began to conform and shapeshift our Soul’s Story.
We quickly learned that in order to have our physiological, emotional, spiritual needs met — we needed to conform our Soul’s Story into “acceptable” and “desirable” narratives written by others — society, religion, politics, family traditions/beliefs, culture, or simply the loud-mouthed influencers on the internet telling us to live, love, work, parent, and take care of our bodies in certain ways.
<Inauthenticity, Taming, and Hiding behind masks have entered the chat>
While some people have more or less influence on how this affects them— nobody makes it to adulthood unscathed.
Especially women. And especially ESPECIALLY very ambitious women.
You don’t need me to highlight for you all the reasons women learn very early to shapeshift and conform to narratives to not be “too much, too smart, too pretty, too accomplished, too nerdy, too outspoken, too bossy, too braggy…”
Sound familiar? I can feel you nodding 😉
Prime example: take the version of me who learned early on it wasn’t cool to be smart AND an accomplished athlete. I was told by mostly GIRLS that I would lose friends, never have boyfriends, etc etc.
Even though I never fully shapeshifted into narratives to “be cool, not smart” or “fit in, don’t be a great athlete” or “be chill, not sensitive” — I did tone it down when I felt like it would cost me belonging into whatever group I was involved with — whether that group was friends, teammates, colleagues, mentors, or even family.
Like so many other highly gifted and talented girls and women, I learned a “sink or swim” philosophy to belonging and feeling authentic — I could sink (and shrink) away from my truest Story in order to belong — OR — I could swim into my Soul’s Story BUT risk losing belonging.
Life became a sink or swim negotiation.
For me, it looked like paddling furiously to not only maintain an image that allowed me to belong to most of the “average” groups around me.
But it also looked like paddling furiously to continue my quest to listen to my heart and my Soul — harnessing my ambition and achieving great things…but making sure not to do this TOO much so I didn’t come off as arrogant, braggy, or be called the ever-hated and passive aggressive term — “Overachiever.”
But here’s the problem.
While following our hearts and our Soul’s Story are incredibly deep needs to fulfill in our lifetimes — belonging is our deepest human need.
It impacts us physiologically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Just read the latest research about how loneliness is more of an epidemic than smoking or obesity.
I’d argue this is an even BIGGER problem in women, especially in the post-COVID / go-go-go / “everything is online” era.
But belonging absolutely does not belong in a “sink or swim” philosophy in life.
And yet, that’s how we were conditioned to live.
To add salt to the wound — those of us women who are highly ambitious were taught somewhere along the way that “we can do it it all ourselves. We don’t NEED other people.”
This could have been a protective mechanism, or simply the well meaning feminist energy of “strong independent woman” being inverted and used against you.
You learned to just do everything yourself — and you achieved at great heights.
But the higher you climb, the more you see — it makes you stand out from the pack.
Sink or swim — you have to either choose to sink in, conform, and belong — or swim and just do it all on your own.
You’re designed to belong. And you’re designed to live out the story of your Soul.
It’s not an either-or.
It’s not sink OR swim.
It’s sink AND swim.
The only way to live out your Soul’s Story FULLY — with yourself and with your tribe — is to SINK the narrative that you must conform, shapeshift, or be completely inauthentic in order to belong.
And then SINK deeply into yourself — and your Soul. It’s in the depths of your Soul — the often unsexy and unseen and hidden parts of you — where you find the instructions and power to RISE and SWIM.
You were meant to fully match the way you live, love, work, parent, and lead with the Story that is branded in the DNA of your Soul.
But along the way, you started to wrap yourself into a Corset of Conformity — a Conformity Corset.
It provided a semblance of support.
But your Soul cannot be contained in a space that was never designed to hold it.
Your Soul Story has likely shown up time and time again — knocking from the inside, begging and asking to come out to play.
Maybe it showed up through illness. Or relationship issues that seem to repeat themselves time and time again. Or work issues. Or a lack of inspiration in your career.
Or maybe it’s just eating at you bit by bit. That little feeling that you were designed for more, for something expansive — for something better than this.
It shows up when you see others who live FULLY authentically and courageously, following their hearts.
And you wonder why you can’t just fully let go of the Corset already and step into the Daylight.
Your Soul’s Story stimulates your nervous system and has you feeling out of whack.
Maybe you’ve tried mindset work, therapy, hypnosis, bodywork, balancing your hormones, doing life or business coaching, setting boundaries, or being a freakin A+ student of self care.
But you still know something is missing.
And you know too well that you can’t just force it out or “change your thoughts” to step into your next chapter. (FFS, this is not a “mindset” issue. It’s deeper than that)
And that part of you that deeply desires to be known, seen, and heard — that part that wants you to BELONG — knows you desire support to let go of the Corset.
Because you know when you step fully into the light as your deepest, most authentic Self — it can feel incredibly vulnerable.
To sink into yourself, to see the gifts tucked into your deepest and most hidden stories — and use those gifts as FUEL and POWER gently and courageously help you rise back to the surface … so you can step into and SWIM into the daylight.
This sink AND swim process is what I call Soul Story Alchemy, and it is the backbone of the work I’ve always done.
But I, too, conformed my work into a narrative that “made sense” to most. I called it physical therapy, then health coaching, then career coaching, then business/marketing coaching.
I’ve spent 2 years doing the deep, gritty, unsexy, painful, grief-filled and liberating work of letting go of the “safety” of conforming to those narratives.
And now, I’m just calling it what it is.
In Soul Story Alchemy, we’ll do all kinds of delicious work together to sink in and uncover your deepest Soul Story — and gently rise and swim into your next chapter.
And yes, of course — it will involve transformative narrative and storytelling work, along with energetics, somatics, and powerful coaching from me.
In celebration of this new unfurling right here timed with closing of winter and opening of Spring —
I’m so excited to invite you to a Spring Tea Birthday Party and Storytelling Ceremony.
This party will be held virtually on the Spring Equinox, perfectly timed with the unfurling of Spring.
This isn't just a birthday party for me. It's a celebration of you, too.
It’s for you if you have a desire to:
🌱 Reveal the next, deeper chapter of your Story with joy and courage
🌱 Root into the next phase of your work, business, relationships, or purpose
🌱 Lock arms in a circle of women who get and encourage you
Bonus points — because I am all about a theme party, it actually has an (optional) dress up “Spring Tea” theme.
Because you and I both know you have an outfit you have nowhere to wear it.
If you know deep down you aren’t LIVING the full truth about who you are, what you’re here to do, who you’re here to serve, and who you surround yourself with.
… and you know it’s time to let go of the old stories and allow the new ones to Sprout, Unfurl, and Grow into your next Era.
And you know you don’t want to do this in the hyper-masculine "push, plow through, force, hurry, go faster" culture.
…because you want to honor the vulnerability of the deepest parts of your Soul
Then this may be jussssssssst the Tea Party for you.
You want to shift and allow your Story to emerge into the daylight in a way that is intuitive, that honors your inner rhythms and the rhythms of nature (which you know are one and the same).
This is why I developed this tea party and storytelling ceremony - right here on the Spring Equinox - a cosmic time of sprouting energy, new expansion, and budding growth.
As feminine types, this is a PERFECT time to tap in to your inner garden so that you can cultivate incredible things in your life for seasons to come.
My hope is that you can harness this energy and use it to fuel the desires and visions already inside of you.
So grab your favorite High Tea Attire, Tea Party bevvy (tea, coffee, cocktail, or mocktail), bring some finger sandwiches or snacks, and let's toast to you and all you're SPRINGING into!
This is your excuse to put on the outfit that you have nowhere else to wear it. But in the spirit of authenticity and breaking free from the Conformity Corset — the High Tea attire is totally optional.
Bonus points — all proceeds from the event (it has a $39 entry fee) will be donated to Hurricane Helene recovery efforts here in Western NC.
🌱You gotta step into the daylight … and let it go, let it go, let it go 🌱
It would mean the world to me if you were able to join me for this special event I’ve poured my Soul into.
Thank you for being here in this space with me.
Please reply to this email with any questions. I’m here to cheer you on as you match your outside life with the Story of your Soul.
